Everybody feels a little bit anxious during “Meet the Parents” session. We did not know what to expect and were afraid that if the family don’t really like us.

When I first met Ms. H parents, our relationship is not at it best actually. I went to Ms. H home as a surprise, even Ms. H didn’t know I will come. And I am relieved that her family accept me well. I planned my visit to coincide with lunch and I ate with his father.

The food are simple but tasty, just like what I always have at home. We can feel the mother love in the food. The dishes are a simple “Ayam Masak Merah” (or is it Sambal Ayam?) and taugeh with Ikan Masin. If Ms. H is not there, I will help myself with the 2nd and 3rd servings. :p

During the visit, I brought “Jambu Batu” (Guava) as buah tangan which I bought at Tapah R&R. I planned to buy Jambu Madu, (Ms.H fav) but apparently its not in season yet.

I felt very welcomed and at home there, and if not for Ms. H angry stare, I definitely will stay longer and come more often!

Selamat Datang ke Herdawati.com !

This is Herdawati.com second reincarnation. Actually, dulu I dah create Herdawati.com dan my mission is to encourage yang empunya diri start a blog. Unfortunately, either it falls on deaf ears or she is just too technophobe. I think both.

Plus, she don’t like publicity. That’s her style. If she ever know I wrote this blog, I am sure she will be pissed off. Hard time for me.

But that’s superficially. I know deep down in her, she like it! She has this paradox thing in her.

Yeah, she will never admit it, her inner hati batu wont let her.  Definitely she will feel touched, WALAWEI! Not every boyfriend can do this for her girlfriend ok. Setup a blog (paid one, her own domain name some more, nice theme also), only casanova geek like me will do it… :p

So, Why This Blog?

Ok, ok. Enough about her. Actually, I think the name HERDAWATI.COM is waay to precious to give other people. It’s worth it to face her wrath than let this domain name goes to other people. She doesn’t experience it yet. Try registering SABRI.COM, see if you can.

Cannot. My name is so popular, other people take it already. So, while her name is still available, let’s keep it. If she doesn’t want it. I want.

That’s the first reason.

The second reason is, I like to write something about my life. Our life. Ya, I have a popular blog already (800+ readers a day and counting), but I yearn for something personal. Something to share with myself, my friends and all busy bodies out there.

And of course, I wont be posting frequently here, but I promise you each post will be juicy, interesting and worth the wait…

The third reason is, I want to play with this blog. Yeah, normal mortal people like you wont understand how a geek like me think. There are just to many technical variables involved in setting up a simple blog like this. I cannot play much with my main blog (SS.com) because it will affect the readers experience, hence my business bottomline, but at a personal blog like this, heck I can!

1 Ramadhan

What an irony. A lovey dovey blog started on the first of Ramadhan. Actually, this is all accident. I was browsing the internet after sahur waiting for Subuh prayers before start to sleep (yes, I haven’t sleep yet for the night) I come across this beautiful Wordpress theme. A beautiful Theme needs a beautiful name. Hence, my crazy idea of re-incarnating Herdawati.com

And now I am wondering to use English or BM. I am ok with both, but using BM I will sound too geeky, nerdy and jiwang karat (which I am not btw. Herda said I am romantic, not jiwang karat- 2 different thing)

I guess I will write as I feel it. If I thing English is my mood, than English it will be. If it’s BM, then BM.
